Description

Founded in 1946, Domaine Guigal is one of the most revered and unwaveringly consistent estates in the Rhône Valley and is often seen as a benchmark for quality Côte-Rôtie. The top three wines from Guigal are known affectionately in some circles as the La La’s, which is short for La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. The Côte-Rôtie ‘La Mouline’ is one of the most emblematic of E. Guigal’s portfolio. Small quantities are produced each year from a vineyard in the heart of the Côte Blonde.

About this wine

The 1985 Cote Rotie La Mouline by E. Guigal is a landmark vintage, embodying the depth and complexity of Syrah from the Northern Rhône, enhanced by Viognier's finesse. This vintage is celebrated for its balance, aromatic intensity, and longevity. Dense purple color, a complex nose of red and black fruits, violets, black olives, and a hint of spice. Full-bodied, with a rich, layered mouthfeel and a long, smooth finish.

La Mouline

La Mouline is one of the most prestigious wines produced by E. Guigal, part of the legendary La Las trio from the Côte-Rôtie appellation, showcasing the unique terroir and winemaking mastery of the Northern Rhône.
