Description

Château Mouton Rothschild 2021 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. The 2021 Mouton Rothschild is a blend composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, harvested from September 25th to October 6th and matured in 100% new oak barrels. Displaying a deep and captivating purple-black hue, the wine reveals its charms with a gentle swirl, unveiling classic aromas of warm cassis, pencil shavings, and ripe black plums, complemented by delicate notes of lavender, cracked black pepper, and crushed rocks. On the palate, it showcases a light to medium-bodied structure, tightly wound with layers of black fruits and subtle mineral accents, beautifully framed by fine-grained tannins and a delightful sense of freshness. Here presented in stately double-magnum format.
