Description

Marcassin is an exceptionally small boutique winery owned and run by one of the most influential and acclaimed winemakers in California, Helen Turley. The Three Sisters Vineyard is owned by the Martinelli family (and the last cuvée to be made by Marcassin was the 2008 vintage). The 2000 release is now fully mature, exuding wonderful notes of lemon rind, dried apricot, baked apple, butter, lanolin, slight smokiness and spices. An up-front style of Chardonnay but it is rather delicious! Here in glorious magnum format.

About this wine

The Marcassin Three Sisters Chardonnay Magnum 2000 is a magnum bottling of one of Marcassin Vineyard's most iconic Chardonnays. Crafted from grapes grown in the cool, maritime influenced vineyards of the Sonoma Coast, this wine showcases the exceptional winemaking skills of Helen Turley. Aged extensively in French oak barrels, the wine reveals a complex array of flavors and aromas, including citrus fruits, ripe pear, toasted nuts, and a subtle minerality. Ripe pear, lemon zest, toasted nuts, and a hint of vanilla, underpinned by a refreshing acidity and a distinct minerality. N/A
