Description

Situated in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Fourrier is a family-owned wine producer currently managed by Jean-Marie Fourrier. Before taking over from his father in 1994, Jean-Marie worked as an apprentice of the legendary Henry Jayer and as a trainee winemaker at Domaine Drouhin in Oregon. This is the Domaine’s 2002 Griotte-Chambertin, produced from old vines planted in this relatively small Grand Cru vineyard. The wine is maturing at a good pace, brimming with fragrant oak spices and dark berries.
