Situated in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is arguably the most famous and collectible wine producer in the world. DRC – as it is frequently called – offers wines from eight different grand cru vineyards that span the length of the Côte d`Or. This Romanée-Saint-Vivant cuvée comes from their 5.29-hectare plot in the prestigious vineyard, which has a slightly deeper layer of topsoil and a higher percentage of clay in the overall composition. This release is from the exceptionally warm 2003 vintage, which probably evolved slightly faster than some other vintages. Available here in a magnum bottle.
