Description

A unique cuvée that carries the history of two renowned winemakers in Burgundy, Emmanuel Rouget and Georges Jayer. This Grand Cru Echézeaux is made from vines in the parcel once owned by Georges Jayer, who is often hailed as one of the pioneers of ‘modern’ Burgundy winemaking. The 2006 vintage from Emmanuel Rouget is known for its vibrant and mature flavours. Rouget, who is also Georges Jayer`s nephew, has been carrying on his uncle`s traditional, low-intervention winemaking methods, which allow the terroir to shine. His Echézeaux Grand Cru wines typically show a mix of power and elegance with generous fruit character, earthy nuances, and well-integrated tannins.
