Based in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the leading wine producers in Burgundy. The estate is currently run by the husband-and-wife team Étienne Grivot and Marielle, who took over from Étienne’s father Jean Grivot in 1987. The domaine has been assembled over several generations to its current size of 15.5 hectares and includes holdings in three Grand Cru sites. Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, and Richebourg, where this cuvée comes from. 2009 was a particularly good vintage for red Burgundy, producing well-structured wines with rich, luscious fruit.
