Description

Denis Bachelet is a relatively small domaine that has created a loyal following around its small-production wines. Based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, the estate comprises 3.99 hectares of vineyards across different appellations. This Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is made from very old vines planted from 1907 to 1917. Grapes are entirely destemmed, and fermentation uses only natural yeasts. The wine is then aged in oak for up to 18 months before bottling.

Domaine Truchot-Martin

Domaine Truchot-Martin was a highly respected wine producer in the Burgundy region of France, known for its exceptional Pinot Noir wines. The domaine was particularly famous for its old vine Pinot Noir from some of the most prestigious appellations in Burgundy, including Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin. Under the leadership of Jean-Marie Truchot, the domaine practiced traditional winemaking methods, emphasizing low yields, manual harvesting, and minimal intervention in the winery to best express the unique characteristics of each vineyard.
