Description

Liber Pater 2009 is a full-bodied blended red wine produced in the Graves region of Bordeaux. The highly sought-after wines of Liber Pater have quickly achieved cult status. Owner-winemaker Loïc Pasquet purchased the estate in 2005. Produced from exceptionally low yields of 15hl per hectare, the 2009 is an assemblage of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. "A wine of superb intensity, loads of graphite, unsmoked cigar tobacco, creme de cassis and blackberry as well as toasty oak, the wine is full-bodied, powerful, rich, and certainly meant for considerable aging. Given the vintage, there is also a certain accessibility to it already." Wine Advocate
