Description

Based at the Château de Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier is a family-owned estate producing some of the finest wines of the Côte de Nuits. The Musigny Grand Cru is made from the family’s 1.14-hectare parcel, which is entirely situated within the section known as ‘Grand-Musigny’. All of the vines here were planted between 1947 and 1962, producing small, high-quality berries. The 1995 vintage yielded a particularly small crop which resulted in high quality wines built for long ageing.

About this wine

The 1995 Musigny from Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier is a riveting expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir. Crafted from grapes harvested from the Musigny Grand Cru vineyard, this wine is known for its intricate blend of fruit and earthy flavors, presenting an impeccable balance and long-lasting finish. Features a bouquet of ripe cherries, blackberries, with subtle hints of earth and oak. On the palate, it offers layers of red and black fruits, violets, and a hint of spice, leading to a profoundly elegant finish. Critically acclaimed, though specific awards for the 1995 vintage may vary.
