Founder Eugène-Aimé Salon pioneered Champagne’s first ever blanc de blancs in the early 1900s. Salon was originally destined to personal consumption until 1921, the first commercial vintage. This release is the 1988 vintage which was imported to the US by Wilson Daniels Ltd. Now in its optimal drinking window, the cuvée is beautifully focused, with deep notes of lime, honey and mushrooms in butter.

Salon is a prestigious and exclusive Champagne producer located in the Champagne region of France. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Eugène-Aimé Salon, it has remained a specialist in producing only one cuvée, the Salon Le Mesnil, from a single grape variety (Chardonnay), a single terroir (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger), and only in exceptional vintages.
