The estate is currently led by the sisters Comtesse Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, with Jean Lupatelli as chef de cave and Jean-Luc Pépin looking after sales and marketing. The 1993 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is surprisingly fresh right now, offering notes of red berries, violets, forest floor and a touch of chocolate. The wine can be enjoyed now but still has a long way to go.
