Description

This limited edition Brunello di Montalcino forms part of the prestigious Zodiac collection, and has an iconic label design by the artist Wang Mai, featuring a monkey in two different labels that show effects and techniques borrowed by Italian and Chinese frescoes to celebrate the Year of the Monkey. The 2010 release is made from 100% Sangiovese grown at 450 m.a.s.l. in soils rich in shale and marl. The wine is aged for 36 months in French oak, followed by a further 6 months in concrete tanks. A full bodied red with rich red berried and plum character mingling with balsamic and mineral notes, together with soft tannins and a long, evolving finish.
