Owned and managed by the legendary Lalou Bize-Leroy – aka the ‘Queen of Burgundy’ –Domaine Leroy is one strand of the Leroy group, along with Maison Leroy and Domaine d`Auvenay. After continuous and strategic expansion, today the estate covers approximately 23 hectares, including impressive vineyard holdings in nine Grands Crus and eight Premier Crus. This particular release comes from a small 0.69-hectare plot of vines in the climat of Aux Lavrières. Burgundy 1990 was an excellent vintage across the board, one that produced deeply coloured, full-bodied and fruity wines.
