Situated in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – or simply DRC – is the world-famous wine producer that needs no introduction. Since 1942 the estate is co-owned by two families, the de Villaine and the Leroy, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. Only Grand Cru wines are produced here, including this Richebourg, made from a 3.51-hectare parcel. 1996 was an outstanding vintage for both white and red Burgundy which are drinking beautifully now.
