Situated in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – or simply DRC – is the world-famous wine producer that needs no introduction. Today, the estate is co-owned by two families, the de Villaine and the Leroy, with Alexandre Bernier in place as head winemaker following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. The estate has the monopole of two grand cru vineyards, the eponymous Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, which covers 6.06 hectares of old vines. The 2011 is in a wonderful place right now, revealing a stunning floral perfume on the nose, and impeccable structure on the palate.
