Originally founded in the 1930s, Sylvain Cathiard is a small, family-run estate situated in the commune of Vosne-Romanée. Following the retirement of Sylvain in 2011, the domaine is now run by Sylvain`s son, Sébastien Cathiard. This particular cuvée is from Les Suchots, the largest premier cru in the Vosne-Romanée appellation. The domaine’s parcel is on deep clay soils above the cemetery and tend to produce rich, opulent wines with a lovely layer of sweetness.
