Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine in California. They produce just three wines, La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir, all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.La Muse is an ode to Merlot and is inspired by the rich and powerful, yet incredibly refined wines of Pomerol. The 2015 release is once again sensational and continues a stunning run of form for this cuvée. It is a deep, complex and texturally expansive blend of 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec.

The 2015 La Muse is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship at Vérité Winery. This vintage conveys the rich, nuanced character of Sonoma County's terroir through its dominant Merlot composition, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Malbec, offering depth and complexity. Exhibits a bouquet of black cherry, plum, and jasmine, with flavors of ripe red fruits, chocolate, and a hint of vanilla on the finish. Well-structured tannins provide balance and longevity. Critically acclaimed, with numerous high ratings from wine critics.

La Muse is one of the three Bordeaux-inspired blends produced by Vérité, predominantly based on Merlot. It is inspired by the great wines of Pomerol and offers a complex profile of fruit, earth, and spice notes.
