Description

Domaine René Engel was one of the leading wine producers in Vosne-Romanée until the untimely death of Philippe Engel, grandson of the founder, in 2005. The estate was eventually sold to French tycoon François Pinault, who renamed it Domaine d`Eugénie. Bottles of the former Domaine René Engel are now highly sought-after and increasingly scarce. This release is a rare Clos-Vougeot from the 1995 vintage, a standout year for red Burgundy.
