Established in the 1850s, Domaine Fourrier is a prestigious wine producer based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate is currently led by Jean-Marie Fourrier, the 5th generation family owner who took over the 10-hectare property from his father in the mid-1990s at the young age of 23. This is the domaine’s 2009 Griotte-Chambertin, produced from old vines planted in this small grand cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin. A beautifully structured wine, with pure cherry fruit and polished tannins.

About this wine

The 2009 Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Fourrier is a Pinot Noir wine of remarkable elegance and depth. Harvested from the Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy, this wine has been meticulously crafted to showcase the unique characteristics of its terroir. Aged in French oak barrels, the wine expresses a complex bouquet of red fruits, delicate spice, and earthy undertones, making it a superb example of Burgundy's fine winemaking tradition. The 2009 vintage features a bouquet of ripe cherries, strawberries, a touch of cinnamon, and subtle earthy notes, leading to a palate that balances fruit intensity with elegance and fine tannins, culminating in a long, refined finish.
