Description

Domaine Bizot Vosne-Romanée 2007 is a village Burgundy Pinot Noir from the hallowed commune of Vosne-Romanée. A professor of viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Jean-Yves Bizot works with the most exacting standards both in the vineyard and the cellar. Planted with a large proportion of old vines, his vineyard holdings are farmed organically. He ferments his Pinot Noirs with whole clusters, eschewing the use of sulphur during vinification and élevage. The 2007 vintage in Burgundy was generally regarded as a good year, especially for red wines. The weather during the growing season was characterized by a relatively warm and dry summer, which allowed the grapes to ripen fully.
