The Mundus Bacillus Terrae Malbec comes from a small 1.4-hectare plot within the famed Adrianna Vineyard, which sits at almost 5,000ft elevation in the Gualtallary District of Mendoza. The 2016 began fermentation in a combination of concrete vats and oak foudre before maturation in French oak barrels for 18 months. From a cooler vintage, this is hallmarked by exceptionally broody dark fruits, brilliantly refined tannins and wonderful freshness, with superb overall balance.
