Vieux Château Certan is the flagship Pomerol property of the illustrious Thienpont family and the 2017 is, once again, a superlative release. Comprising 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is deep garnet-purple in colour and offers up wonderfully bold scents of lush black fruits, bitter chocolate, spring flowers, truffle and liquorice. Medium- to full-bodied, it is supremely well-balance on the palate, fine emery tannins, effortless freshness and length to burn.

The 2017 vintage of Vieux Château Certan is a standout wine crafted in the Pomerol tradition. This particular bottle, at an impressive volume of 600cl, offers a deep exploration of Merlot-led blend's elegance and complexity. Notes of black cherry, truffles, and violets with a balanced oak presence. Elegant tannins and a lasting finish that reveals layers of complexity.
