Description

Domaine d’Auvenay is named after Lalou Bize-Leroy’s home, an old hunting lodge outside Saint-Romain which she shared with her husband Marcel until he passed away in 2004. Bize-Leroy and her sister inherited the property from her father in 1980, and she eventually bought her sister’s share in 1990. The estate amounts to just under four hectares but covers 16 different appellations. This release comes from ‘En la Richarde’, technically a part of Les Folatières. There are only four producers here. Louis Jadot and d`Auvenay in the section classed as ‘village’, Arnaud Ente and Etienne Sauzet in the section classed as Premier Cru.
