The name of the winery, Sine Qua Non, is a Latin phrase that can be translated as ‘absolutely indispensable’. The 2020 Syrah Distenta is a full-bodied, concentrated and remarkably balanced wine based on 83% Syrah, with Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, Muscat, and Petit Manseng making up the rest of the blend. The wine was fermented with 16% whole clusters and matured for 23 months in 66% new French oak.
