Description

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the world-famous wine producer that enjoys an almost mythical reputation amongst collectors and consumers. Based in the village of Vosne-Romanée, DRC is jointly owned by two families, the de Villaine and the Leroy, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. Unlike other great Burgundy estates, Romanée-Conti’s strategy has always been to focus on a small number of grand cru vineyards, such as Grands-Echézeaux, where they own a 3.52-hectare plot. The 1969 reds were initially a bit reserved behind their tannins, but they are now fully mature, and it’s a vintage to look out for.
