Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine from Sonoma County, California. They produce just three wines - La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir - all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.Le Désir was first produced in the year 2000 and is an homage to the fragrant and opulent wines of St-Émilion. The 2015 is once again superb release that continues an astonishing run of form for this winery. A blend of 64% Cabernet Franc, 27% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Malbec, it is expressive, multi-layered and complex, with the potential to evolve over many decades.

The 2015 Le Désir is a compelling testament to the grace and power of Sonoma County’s Cabernet Franc. A master blend led by Cabernet Franc complemented with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, this vintage offers a symphony of blackcurrant, cedar, spices, and floral undertones, given complexity by a generous aging process in French oak barrels. The 500cl format is a majestic presentation for collectors and enthusiasts alike, emphasizing the wine’s capabilities for aging and its ceremonial pleasure in tasting. Layers of blackcurrant, lush cedar, touches of spice, and floral notes, beautifully married with velvety tannins and an elegant, lingering finish.

Le Désir celebrates the finesse and elegance of Sonoma County with a focus on Cabernet Franc. It represents one of the three flagship Bordeaux-inspired blends from Vérité, distinguished by its complexity and depth, often compared to the finest offerings from Saint-Émilion.
