Ruchottes-Chambertin is perhaps one of Gevrey-Chambertin`s lesser-known Grand Cru sites, covering approximately 3 hectares. It is situated just north of the famous Le Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze vineyards and planted exclusively to Pinot Noir. This particular release is made from a plot sharecropped between Christophe Roumier and Michel Bonnefond. 2000 was an attractive vintage of fruit-forward, charming wines which are in their drinking window now.
