Though Louis Jadot is one of the leading négociants of Burgundy, any wine labelled as “Héritiers des Louis Jadot” indicates a cru which has historically belonged to the Jadot family. The Grand Cru offering from Chevalier-Montrachet ‘Les Demoiselles’ is often a highlight of the Jadot portfolio and the 2017 certainly does not disappoint. It is powerful and concentrated, with incredible layers of flavour and a finish of prodigious length. This is undoubtedly a classic in the making and will reward those with the patience to leave it a few years.
