Description

Domaine Jacky Truchot-Martin was a 15-acre estate with vineyards in three Burgundy appellations. Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. Its charismatic founder Jacky Truchot retired in 2005, selling off his wine property and closing the business permanently. Bottles of his wines are now increasingly rare and sough-after. This 2005 bottling is particularly in demand by wine collectors as it was the very last vintage released by the domaine.

About this wine

The 2005 Charmes Chambertin from Domaine Jacky Truchot presents an extraordinary example of Pinot Noir, showcasing the elegance, depth, and complexity that Burgundy’s Grand Cru vineyards can achieve. With a limited production and being the last vintage before Truchot's retirement, this wine is both rare and highly coveted. This wine offers a mesmerizing bouquet of ripe red fruits, violet, and spices, with a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, it delivers layers of concentrated fruit flavors, silky tannins, and a long, refined finish that speaks to its Grand Cru pedigree.
