Description

Domaine Georges Roumier is one of the longest-established estate bottling producers in the Côte D`Or. The domaine was originally formed in 1924 by George Roumier who farmed his own vines in Chambolle-Musigny but also worked as vineyard manager for Comte Georges de Vogüé. Since 1992 the estate has been fully managed by the talented Christophe Roumier, the 3rd generation family winemaker. This release comes from Bonnes-Mares, the prestigious Grand Cru vineyard where Roumier owns a 1.6-hectare plot. The 1998 vintage is maturing extremely well in bottle, revealing a distinctive red fruit character, infused with undergrowth and crushed stones.
