Paul Jaboulet Aîné is a historic winery in the Northern Rhône, with a legacy dating back to 1834. The estate is renowned for its Hermitage La Chapelle, a wine made from Syrah grapes sourced from the La Chapelle vineyard on the Hermitage hill. The 1959 vintage is considered one of the greatest vintages in the history of the Northern Rhône, and the Hermitage La Chapelle from that year is a legendary wine, known for its remarkable aging potential. On the nose, the wine offers a complex aroma profile of dried black fruits, such as blackberries, black cherries, and plums, accompanied by notes of truffle, leather, tobacco, and earthy undertones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture and harmonious balance between the fruit, acidity, and mature tannins.
