Description

L’Ermita is the flagship wine of legendary Priorat winemaker, Alvaro Palacios, and could potentially lay claim to Spain’s greatest wine. Made from 91% Garnacha with 8% Cariñena and 1% white grapes (Garnacha Blanca, Macabeo and Pedro Ximenez) from an ancient single vineyard, the 2015 release is an exceptionally expressive wine of remarkable purity and precision. It unfurls in the glass with delightful aromas of wild strawberry, black cherry, liquorice and wet slate, constantly evolving with each and every sniff. On the palate it is elegant and fresh, with sublime balance of fruit, acidity, structure and mineral tension, culminating in a wonderfully long, ethereal finish. Drink now to 2030.
