Description

For many, Biondi-Santi is the pinnacle of Brunello di Montalcino with wines known for their classic youthful austerity but considerable capacity to age. Here is a rare find from the excellent `68 vintage. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 4 years, followed by long period of bottle-aging in the quiet and darkness of “La Storica”, the bottle library at Tenuta Greppo. Offering up a bold, fragranced palate of dried aromatic herbs, flowers and cherries.
