Ruchottes-Chambertin is perhaps one of Gevrey-Chambertin`s lesser-known Grand Cru sites, covering approximately 3 hectares. It is situated just north of the famous Le Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze vineyards and planted exclusively to Pinot Noir. This release is made from a plot sharecropped between Christophe Roumier and Michel Bonnefond. 1999 was an exceptional vintage in Burgundy offering the rare combination of sufficient quantity and high quality.
