Description

Based in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the legendary Burgundy estate that produces some of the most exclusive and sought-after wines in the world. Only grand cru wines are produced by the domaine, including this Montrachet, made from a 0.67-hectare vineyard holding where the vines are over 60 years old. Typical production is limited to around 2,700 bottles per year, which makes them very scarce. This is a rare bottling of the 1998 vintage, presented here in a luxurious Jeroboam.

About this wine

This 1998 vintage of DRC's Montrachet in a rare 300cl format comes with a damaged capsule yet promises the unparalleled quality and complexity of flavor that this esteemed vineyard is known for. A coveted collector's item, it showcases the pinnacle of Chardonnay, with a balance of richness, acidity, and minerality. Notes of ripe orchard fruits, toasted nuts, and a hint of vanilla, underlined by a profound mineral streak and a refreshing acidity that carries into a long, evolving finish.
