Located in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is arguably the most revered wine estate in the world. ‘DRC’ as it is frequently called produces wines from eight different grand cru vineyards – mostly reds – including this Romanée-Saint-Vivant, made from a 5.29-hectare plot. This is a rare magnum bottle of the 2001 vintage, a dazzling wine brimming with black cherry fruit, baking spices, coffee beans and a touch of vanilla, leading to a lingering finish.
