Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine from Sonoma County, California. They produce just three wines - La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir - all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.La Joie is made in the mould of the great wines of Pauillac and the Left Bank. From the excellent 2014 vintage this is a sumptuous, complex and layered blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.

The 2014 La Joie is a towering achievement in Sonoma County winemaking, blending the finest qualities of Cabernet Sauvignon to express intensity, complexity, and depth. Its layered flavors, marked by dark fruits, earthy nuances, and sophisticated tannins, present a wine that is both powerful and elegantly poised. Features notes of blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry, with hints of earth, cedar, and graphite. The tannins are well-integrated, leading to a long, complex finish. Received critical acclaim, with several vintages rated above 95 points by major wine critics.
