Description

With a long history going back to the 15th century, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is one of the finest producers in Côte de Nuits. The estate is led by sisters, Comtesse Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette with Jean Lupatelli as chef de cave and Jean-Luc Pépin looking after sales and marketing. De Vogüé holds 7.2 hectares of the Musigny Grand Cru vineyard, by far the biggest landowner in the 10.8-hectare climat. The 1988 vintage is now at its peak, revealing beautiful floral and perfume notes, dark fruits, dried cherries, a touch of menthol and liquorice.
