Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine in California. They produce just three wines, La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir, all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.La Muse is an ode to Merlot and is inspired by the rich and powerful, yet incredibly refined wines of Pomerol. The 2008 La Muse is a sophisticated and harmonious blend of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. A wine that has continued to improve with bottle age and has at least another 20 years of potential evolution.

The 2008 Vérité La Muse is an exquisite representation of a Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend, marrying the best of Sonoma County's terroir with the traditions of French winemaking. The wine dazzles with its deep ruby color, complex aromas of dark fruits, and elegant tannins, leading to a long, sophisticated finish. Rich notes of black cherry, plum, and cassis are complemented by hints of vanilla, spice, and mocha, culminating in an elegant, smoothly textured finish.
