Château Calon-Ségur is the most northerly of the Médoc Grand-Crus Classés and is renowned for wines with excellent depth of fruit and great longevity. The 2017 has lovely notes of plum jam, cassis, mulberry, earth and cedar on the nose. Intense yet elegant, the palate is medium-bodied with superbly honed tannins and a long finish. Drink 2022-2040.
