Vérité was founded in 1997 by the late visionary Jess Jackson and long-time Bordeaux vigneron, Pierre Seillan. In just over 20 years, the winery has managed to forge a reputation for itself as one of the most consistent producers of elite level fine wine in California. They produce just three wines, La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir, all of which are based on the traditional varieties of Bordeaux.La Muse is an ode to Merlot and is inspired by the rich and powerful, yet incredibly refined wines of Pomerol. The 2015 release is once again sensational and continues a stunning run of form for this cuvée. It is a deep, complex and texturally expansive blend of 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec.

The 2015 La Muse is an exquisite representation of Sonoma County's capability to produce Merlot with depth and complexity. This vintage is celebrated for its layered flavors, balanced structure, and long finish, making it a standout in Vérité's portfolio. The 2015 La Muse presents aromas of ripe blackberry, cherry, and dark chocolate, with hints of vanilla, cedar, and spice. On the palate, it offers a rich texture with layered flavors of dark fruits, mocha, and a touch of licorice, leading to a profound and elegant finish. La Muse is one of Vérité Winery's flagship wines, embodying the winery's dedication to crafting exceptional Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blends. Inspired by Pomerol and specifically the lush, round profiles of Merlot from that region, La Muse showcases the supple, velvety characteristics of Merlot, complemented by the structure and depth provided by additions of Cabernet Franc and sometimes Cabernet Sauvignon.
