Description

Formed in 1968 by Jacques Seysses, Domaine Dujac is considered one of the finest producers in Burgundy. The family-owned estate is now run by Jacques’ two sons, Jérémy and Alec, and his daughter-in-law Diana Snowden Seysses, who was born and raised in Napa Valley. This particular release is from Clos Saint-Denis, a Grand Cru vineyard that lies between the village of Morey-Saint-Denis to the south and Gevrey-Chambertin to the north, where the slope is very steep. 2011 was a particularly good vintage for the Domaine, which produced red wines with clear focus, balance and structure.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this wine showcases the balance between power and elegance, featuring a complex bouquet of red and dark fruits, earthy undertones, and a subtle oak influence. With its silky tannins and lingering finish, it stands as a pinnacle of Burgundy winemaking. A vibrant nose of cherry, raspberry, and plum, complemented by notes of violets, spice, and earth.
