Description

Formed in 1968 by Jacques Seysses, Domaine Dujac is considered one of the finest producers in Burgundy. The family-owned estate is now run by Jacques’ two sons, Jérémy and Alec, and his daughter-in-law Diana Snowden Seysses, who was born and raised in Napa Valley. This release is their Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from 2009, a particularly successful vintage for the Domaine, producing red wines with ripe and complex fruit, but without a hint of jamminess.

About this wine

The 2009 Charmes Chambertin from Domaine Dujac is a Grand Cru red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir, showcasing the exceptional 2009 vintage in Burgundy. A wine of remarkable complexity and structure, it offers layers of red and dark fruits, spices, and earthy undertones, balanced by fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Aged in oak barrels, this wine reflects the parcel's unique terroir, producing a wine that is both powerful and elegant. This wine offers a complex bouquet of ripe red and dark fruits, including cherries and plums, along with hints of spices, forest floor, and a touch of oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a silky texture, presenting a harmonious balance of acidity and tannins that lead to a long, elegant finish.
