Description

Penfolds Grange By Nigo 2019 is a limited-edition Shiraz-based red wine from the Barossa Valley of Australia. To mark its 180th anniversary, Penfolds has teamed up with fashion designer and creative director Nigo – described as “one of the founding fathers of street fashion” – to release this limited gift box edition of the 2019 Grange. Each gift box comes numbered, with a bandana, bottle neck tag and a certificate of authenticity. The wine itself was a 100-pointer for critic James Suckling, who in 2022 wrote. "A robust Grange from a lauded vintage, this wields sheer power with such compelling prowess. Uncompromising Grange. There are rich blackberries and plums on offer, together with brazen oak and abundant notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, charcoal, cola and hard brown spices. So fleshy and intense. Dark-chocolate and cocoa-powder aromas and flavours here, too. The tannins are polished and long, extruding deep into the finish and holding endlessly. Dark chocolate, black cherry, dark plum and more. Impressive. Brazen. One of the great Granges that will drink magnificently for decades to come."
