Domaine Grivelet Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1971 is a fully mature Burgundy Pinot Noir from Les Amoureuses 1er Cru - the most famous Côte de Nuits 1er Cru of them all. With more limestone soil than is typical in Burgundy, Les Amoureuses produces fine, filigree wines with a perfume which has enchanted many a Burgundy aficionado. 1976 was a hot year in Burgundy, producing ripe, full-bodied Pinot Noirs. The best domaines, however, were able to produce great, long-lived wines, which continue to attract collectors.
