Dominio de Pingus was founded in 1995 by Danish winemaker, Peter Sisseck. With incredibly small production of extremely old-vine Tempranillo, he is one of the most acclaimed producers in the Ribera del Duero region and has a global reputation for thoroughly modern, highly characterful and long-lived wines. The 2011 was warm and this an incredibly rich Pingus but it never feels out of control and exhibits remarkable balance for a wine of 15.5%. A better option for short to medium term consumption, this is ideal for drinking now and should hit full maturity in the next 3-5 years.

The 2011 Pingus is a remarkable expression of Tempranillo, showcasing the exceptional terroir of Ribera del Duero. This vintage is celebrated for its depth, complexity, and balance, presenting layers of dark fruit, spice, and minerality. Dark fruit, leather, tobacco, with a long, complex finish. Delicate tannins and a well-rounded acidity. Highly scored by major wine critics, including a rating of 96+ points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
