Extremely scarce signed first printing of the The Illustrated Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Adams' large signature by marker at the top of the title page without inscription. The book has a few tiny dents in the bottom edges of the covers, is otherwise clean and bright inside and out. The dust jacket is clean, bright and is not price-clipped. It has no holes, chips or tears but does have slight rubbing or light scratches to the glossy surfaces and a few wrinkles near the edges. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a science fiction novel by English author Douglas Adams. It was originally a radio comedy broadcast on the BBC in 1978 before it was developed into a series of five books that sold more than 15 million copies in his lifetime. The story follows the galactic adventures of Arthur Dent, a hapless Englishman, following the demolition of the Earth by aliens called Vogons, who is whisked into space by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher for the eponymous guidebook.
