Although publicised as the sequel of�To Kill a Mockingbird�by the publishers in 2015, the book has since it's publication, been described as a first draft of the famous Pulitzer prize winning novel. First written in 1957, 3 years before the publication of�To Kill a Mockingbird, the novel is set some 20 years later. It reads very much as a draft, and is an interesting insight into the workings of a much loved novel.� Number 39 of 100 copies signed by the author. Go Set a Watchman is a novel by Harper Lee published on July 14, 2015, although it was written in the mid-1950s. The novel is set in the mid-20th century and explores the tensions between race and bigotry in the South. It is Lee's second and last novel, and serves as the earliest draft of To Kill a Mockingbird, although it was erroneously marketed as a sequel.
