Established in 1853, Maggs Brothers is one of the world's oldest antiquarian booksellers. We sell books worldwide through the internet as well as from our regularly published catalogues, and we are happy to welcome customers to browse our stock at our two central London premises in Bloomsbury and Mayfair. We also provide valuations and our staff of experts travel around the world to provide advice on collecting and collections to individuals and institutions.
We specialise in books on travel and exploration, modern first editions, books of Irish interest, fine printing, private press and poetry, early British books and bindings, continental books and illuminated manuscripts, books of the Far East including Japanese photobooks and autograph letters and manuscripts.
We operate two central London shops, the larger of which is at number 48 Bedford Square in Bloomsbury, WC1B 3DR, where we welcome customers from 9:30 am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Our second premises is at number 46 Curzon Street in Mayfair, W1J 7UH, where we display a selection of highlights from across our range of stock and regularly changing exhibitions of specific material.
